On 1st March the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company introduced, with immediate effect, a temporary interruption of all bookings of goods to / from Russia, covering all areas of access including the Baltic countries, the Black Sea and the Far East. Goods already in transit to / from Belarus before March 3, 2022 will continue to be processed, but may be subject to inspection and operational constraints.
The company will continue to accept and control reservations for the delivery of essential items such as food, medical equipment and humanitarian goods.
MSC closely monitored government advice on new sanctions following the February 2022 conflict in Ukraine, and operated navigation and inland navigation services to and from Russia in full compliance with applicable international sanctions.
